Agent Reach: follow the official docs to give an Agent web access, and run doctor first

For people who want a command-line Agent to gain internet access in one go. Install should follow the official install docs, then run agent-reach doctor first; do not search sites yet.

Who it is for

If you want an AI Agent to have web access without picking and maintaining the access method yourself, this tool is a better fit. It stresses that the most stable access right now is chosen, installed, and health-checked for you, and that you do not have to chase upgrades yourself when the access method changes. The repository title writes it as readable and searchable on Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, GitHub, Bilibili, XiaoHongShu, one CLI, and zero API fees.

It targets any Agent that can run a command line. The table names several products. Those are examples, not a closed roster. If you only want to browse these sites by hand and do not plan to change an Agent environment, the benefit is limited. Cookies are written as existing only on your machine and not uploaded; if you cannot accept site cookies saved locally, do not install yet.

First try in 3 minutes

The official install is not an npx command. It asks the Agent to follow the docs. Tell it "help me install Agent Reach" and point it at:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Panniantong/agent-reach/main/docs/install.md

This changes the local environment as the docs say; it is not a read-only look. Open the docs, see the steps it will run, then allow it to act. Do not put another installer beside it.

Right after install, run a health check. Do not search Twitter or Bilibili first:

agent-reach doctor

Officially this line tells you which channel is up, which is down, and how to fix it. Success signal: the command finishes and reports channel status. If one channel is down, follow its repair notes first; do not start fetching sites in bulk. The local computer is written as not needing a paid proxy; the only possible spend is a server proxy ($1/月). On the first try, do not go buy a proxy on your own.

Usage examples

Example 1: Diagnose only after install. agent-reach doctor is the built-in diagnostic named in the table. The task is to run this one command and decide the next step from the output. The available page text does not write every doctor check, and it does not write what exit codes mean. So what you can confirm is: it reports up/down and how to fix. Do not read one green light as permission to fetch any site. The platforms named in the title have no matching subcommands in the available page text, so the first time do not invent slogans such as search twitter.

Example 2: Update from the official docs. Tell the Agent "help me update Agent Reach" and point it at:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Panniantong/agent-reach/main/docs/update.md

An update also changes local components. Read the docs first, then run, then run agent-reach doctor again to confirm the channels. The page does not write a version-number policy, and it does not say whether an update will touch cookies. So after an update, doctor is still the source of truth; do not fetch sites in the middle of an update.

Limits

Install and update both go through the raw docs, not a second package-manager command. The doc URLs must be used exactly as above. When the table writes "completely free", it also writes that the only possible spend is a server proxy ($1/月); local use does not need one. Do not read "free" as the remote proxy forever being zero.

Cookies stay local, are not uploaded, and are not sent out; the code is open source. The available page text does not write the cookie file path, and it does not write a clear step. The site names come from the repository title; the available page text does not give a CLI for each site. If the command is missing, do not invent it.

The first stop is the install docs plus doctor. Any reading of cookies, turning on a paid proxy, or search/fetch against the sites above must first have the Agent repeat the command it will run and the side effects; you confirm, then it continues.
