Angular Skills: write and manage apps against latest Angular

When a coding Agent should write components or manage an app using latest Angular and official practice, install this repository’s skills with npx first. The first time, use only angular-developer for read-only architecture guidance. Creating a new app runs the CLI and must be confirmed first.

Who it's for

Use this skill set when you want a coding Agent to write apps against the latest Angular, official practice, and new features, and to manage existing Angular projects well. It targets smart coding tools; the page names Gemini CLI, Antigravity, and similar. Activating a skill loads the notes and resources that task needs. Do not treat those two as exclusive. If you already have an Angular repository and first want to ask how to write reactivity, forms, dependency injection, or routing, start with angular-developer. Only if you have no project yet and plan to scaffold from zero should you consider angular-new-app, because it will call the Angular CLI to create a new app. The contribution entry is in the angular/angular repository, not a direct edit in this skill repo; everyday use does not need the contribution path.

First try in 3 minutes

Use only this official install command; the repository address must match the page:

npx skills add https://github.com/angular/skills

Do not change it to a marketplace name that never appears, and do not invent a skill catalog. After install, open an existing Angular project. The first time, use only angular-developer for read-only architecture guidance, for example: if the current component moved to signals or a routed feature, what to watch. Have the Agent recap first: it will load angular-developer notes, give advice only and not write files, and will not call the new-app skill. Allow it to read code only after you confirm.

Success signal: the answer covers one of the official capability areas, for example components, services, HTTP, reactivity (signals, linkedSignal, resource, httpResource), forms, dependency injection, routing, SSR, accessibility, animation, styles, testing, or CLI tools, and it does not create a new repository. If the Agent wants to run angular-new-app, interrupt.

Use cases

Case 1: Architecture and writing guidance with angular-developer. For creating or adjusting components, services, and HTTP communication in an existing app, or asking about practice for reactivity, forms, dependency injection, routing, SSR, ARIA, animation, styles, testing, and the CLI. Have the Agent list the topics it will cite; confirm the scope before allowing code changes. The page gives no step-by-step patches; missing API detail follows your project and the skill notes.

Case 2: Scaffold a new app with angular-new-app via the Angular CLI. This creates a project and has large side effects. The Agent must first say the target directory, that it will call the CLI, and that it will not change your existing repository at the same time. Execute only after you confirm the empty directory is correct. The page gives no CLI flags or version numbers; do not invent ng new parameters. What you can confirm is “create a new app with the Angular CLI”.

Boundaries

Default install is npx skills add plus this repository address. Named clients are Gemini CLI, Antigravity, and similar smart coding tools, not a complete roster. Do not use angular-new-app the first time. To change skill content, go to angular/angular; this repository is an output location. Do not invent undocumented short skill names, directories, or marketplace commands. Repository page:
