brand-guidelines: finish artifacts with Anthropic official colors and type

For making artifacts match Anthropic visuals; the materials have no install command — in an environment that can already call the skill, check the four colors and typefaces first, then authorize file changes.

Who it's for

This guide is for people who want posters, slides, or other artifacts to carry Anthropic official visuals, and who will check brand colors and type before changing files. The skill id is brand-guidelines: apply official brand colors and type to artifacts that need that look. Use it when brand colors, style rules, visual layout, or company design standards apply.

The official notes page is

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/anthropics/skills/main/skills/brand-guidelines/SKILL.md

It fits when you can already call this skill in the current agent, and the named typefaces are preinstalled. The materials say titles use Poppins (fallback Arial) and body uses Lora (fallback Georgia); typefaces are best installed in advance.

It does not fit people who do not have this skill yet and want to guess a local install directory from the URL shape. The existing materials give no install command and no skill-folder path; do not invent them.

First try in 3 minutes

The usage in the materials is: to reach Anthropic official brand and style resources, use this skill. There is no second installer.

Preconditions: the current agent can already load brand-guidelines. If loading fails, stop here; do not hand-write an unwritten path to “install.” If typefaces are not preinstalled, accept the Arial / Georgia fallbacks first; do not change system font settings.

Install location: the materials do not write one. Do not infer a local directory from the official notes URL.

The first try is a check only, no file writes. Ask the agent to name the main colors and typefaces from the skill, and say where each is used. The success signal is that it gives the following standalone color values, not glued to punctuation or backticks.

Dark, main text and dark backgrounds:

#141413

Light, light backgrounds and text on dark:

#faf9f5

Mid gray, secondary elements:

#b0aea5

Light gray, weak backgrounds:

#e8e6dc

Title typeface Poppins (Arial fallback), body typeface Lora (Georgia fallback). Matching these means the skill was used.

Writing colors or type into an artifact changes files. Do not authorize applying them until the target file and overwrite risk are confirmed.

Use cases

Case 1: Brand-check an existing artifact. Maps to “apply official brand colors and type to artifacts.” Fits when a page or poster already exists and you only want to know where it drifts from the four colors and two typefaces. Ask for a comparison table first. On success, the notes land on those color values and Poppins / Lora, not a newly invented palette. The materials do not write spacing, type size, or other color values.

Case 2: Use exact RGB in slides. Maps to using RGB through python-pptx RGBColor so colors stay consistent across systems. Fits when the artifact is a deck and you are ready to change a pptx. First have the agent name the RGB mappings it will write, without saving. After you confirm the slide file, allow one write. On success, colors come from the official mains, not approximations. The materials do not give a full RGB number table; what is missing stops here.

Usage limits

Do not invent an install command, marketplace address, or local skill path. The official notes page only proves “use this skill,” not any npx, clone, or folder-copy step.

Do not add accent colors that are not in the materials. The mains are the four standalone values above. If typefaces are not preinstalled, do not assume Poppins or Lora can be embedded.

Changing artifacts has side effects. Check first, then authorize. More detail is only on the official notes page:
