Install
Install the i-have-adhd skill/plugin from https://github.com/ayghri/i-have-adhd, refer to the repo's AGENTS.md for instructions.Who it is for
Use this skill when your coding assistant always preambles, buries the key steps in a long write-up, or closes with “Hope this helps!”. It requires output that puts the action first, numbers the steps, and does not bury the answer.
Prerequisite: a local coding assistant that can install skills or plugins. The docs name Claude Code; do not treat other products as official-only. The main install path is: install the i-have-adhd skill or plugin from the official repository, and follow that repo's AGENTS.md. Do not invent skills add or any other installer.
The docs do not name an install directory. After install, only confirm you can invoke /i-have-adhd, or that the assistant already answers under this skill's output rules.
First try in 3 minutes
Official page:
https://github.com/ayghri/i-have-adhd
In your current assistant, ask it to install the i-have-adhd skill or plugin using the repo AGENTS.md. The official wording is: Install the i-have-adhd skill/plugin from that repository URL, refer to the repo's AGENTS.md for instructions. The URL on its own line:
https://github.com/ayghri/i-have-adhd
Install changes local skill or plugin state. Check the repository name before you run it. If it fails, stop. After success, do not start changing product code. Restart the assistant (the docs say Restart Claude Code), then invoke /i-have-adhd. Then ask one low-risk small question, for example how to read a snippet of existing code.
Success signal: the reply leads with the next action, numbers multiple steps, ends with only one concrete next step, has no opener, recap, or polite closer, and the list has at most 5 items. If it starts editing files, stop it first.
Use cases
Case 1: Everyday Q&A under the output rules. After install and /i-have-adhd, give it a short task. Check that these rules show up: next action first, numbered multi-step, restate status each turn, times as concrete minutes, say errors plainly, lists at most 5 items, no preamble or closer. The docs do not name trigger words besides the slash command; do not invent any.
Case 2: Change the rules at your own pace. The docs say you can fork, edit skills/i-have-adhd/SKILL.md, then switch to your copy. Later plugin commands show a username placeholder; do not copy the placeholder, and do not invent a username. The first time, only read that SKILL.md and confirm which rule to change; confirm again separately before you actually switch copies.
Limits
The main path only goes this far: install the i-have-adhd skill or plugin from that repository, with steps from the repo AGENTS.md. Do not add skills add.
Triggers are evidenced only as /i-have-adhd, plus restart Claude Code after install and invoke again. Output rules are evidenced only as those ten items, including action first, numbering, holding tangents, restating status each turn, concrete minutes, making progress visible, saying errors plainly, lists at most 5 items, and no opener, recap, or closer.
Tuning is evidenced only as editing skills/i-have-adhd/SKILL.md then switching copies. The docs do not mention billing, language range, or other installers. Items without evidence stay unknown; do not add operations.
