Momentic skills: let an assistant call web and mobile end-to-end tests

For end-to-end tests on an existing web or mobile app. Install with the official npx command, sign in with the wizard, and do not invent a secret.

Who it is for

This fits people who want end-to-end tests for a web or mobile app and want an assistant to call Momentic. Officially: these are Momentic agent skills; Momentic is an end-to-end testing platform for web and mobile apps. Product page:

https://momentic.ai/

It fits better if you already have a testable web or mobile app and can finish a local sign-in. It does not fit people with no app yet, or who want to skip sign-in and invent an interface secret.

Before you start you must be able to run npx. The main install path is the skills CLI; do not mix in another plugin command on the first try.

First try in 3 minutes

Use only the skills CLI main path. The first time, finish install and sign-in only; do not run a full test against production.

Prerequisites: this machine already has npm/npx. You will sign in with the official wizard, not by pasting a secret into the conversation.

Install location: in the workspace run:

npx skills add momentic-ai/skills

Then sign in once as the source text says:

npx @momentic/wizard@latest login

Official repository:

https://github.com/momentic-ai/skills

Low-risk trigger: after sign-in succeeds, first confirm this machine can start the MCP process used for web tests. The source start form is npx, with arguments -y, momentic, and mcp. Do not invent a test address for a site you do not own. If the next step will click, submit, or change data, confirm the target environment and side effects first, then continue.

Success signal: the skill is added, and wizard sign-in is done (or you already set MOMENTIC_API_KEY in the environment; do not write the secret into an example). Do not assume a test has already passed.

Usage examples

Example 1: Web end-to-end tests. After installing the skill, use the local MCP named momentic, command npx, arguments -y momentic mcp. It fits people who already have a web app and want an assistant to test flows through Momentic. The evidence only goes as far as “start MCP this way”; it does not give a concrete test script. Sign in first, then act on your own app.

Example 2: Mobile end-to-end tests. The source also gives momentic-mobile, same command npx, arguments -y momentic-mobile mcp. It fits people who already have a mobile app to test. It likewise gives no device, emulator, or case format. Do not merge the web MCP and the mobile MCP into one process.

Limits

The main install command is npx skills add momentic-ai/skills. The source also has a plugin path: /plugin marketplace add momentic-ai/skills, then /plugin install momentic@momentic. The first time, do not do both.

Sign in with npx @momentic/wizard@latest login, or set MOMENTIC_API_KEY in the environment. Do not fill in a fictional secret, and do not write a real secret into the repository.

The official MCP names are only momentic and momentic-mobile. Do not invent other server names or skill paths.

The source does not describe a free quota, a supported-browser inventory, or how to retry after a failed test.
