web-quality-skills: measurement-first web quality checks with Lighthouse

For people who want evidence-based quality checks on an existing page; install with the official npx, run web-quality-audit first, and read the result before changing files.

Who this is for

Fits people who will improve web quality from measurements, not from gut-feel style tweaks. Official text: this is an unofficial, measurement-first Agent Skills collection for optimizing web projects with Google Lighthouse, agent-oriented Chrome DevTools, Core Web Vitals, WCAG, and search-related guidance.

Better fit: people who already have an openable site or local project and want one evidence-based quality check first. The skill named in the source is web-quality-audit: checks across Lighthouse and source-code categories. Trigger phrases include “Audit my site”, “Review this for quality”, “Check web quality”.

It claims to be stack-agnostic and usable with React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, plain HTML, and similar. Do not read that set as “only these frameworks.”

Before starting, you must be able to run npx skills add. Do not switch the primary path to another installer.

Finish a first try in 3 minutes

Follow only the npx primary path given in the repository. The first try is check-only; do not change production code.

Precondition: this machine already has npm/npx, and you have an existing web project or a reachable site. Do not invent a URL to check.

Install location: run in the workspace:

Lighthouse overview:

Low-risk trigger: after install, say “Check web quality” or “Review this for quality” on an existing project. Official text calls this an evidence-based check. Read the report first, then decide whether to change files. The Agent Skills spec page is only a pointer from the source:

https://agentskills.io/

Success: the assistant returns check results by Lighthouse and source-code categories, instead of submitting a patch at once. If the next step would change performance or accessibility code, first confirm which files will change.

Usage cases

Case 1: Run web-quality-audit on an existing site. Use one of the official trigger sentences and have the assistant check across Lighthouse and source-code categories. Fits people who already have a site and want measurement first. Evidence describes only this skill row and does not name other skills. Treat the output as a check result; do not send it out automatically.

Case 2: Run the same measurement-first check in projects of different frameworks. Official text says it is stack-agnostic and gives React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, and plain HTML as examples. Fits people whose stack is already fixed and who only want to add a quality check. Do not infer that one of those frameworks is required, and do not invent skill names that never appeared.

Usage limits

The primary install command is npx skills add addyosmani/web-quality-skills. The source also writes Claude Code plugin commands: /plugin marketplace add addyosmani/web-quality-skills, then /plugin install web-quality-skills@addy-web-quality-skills. Do not mix both paths in one first-try operation.

The only skill named on this page is web-quality-audit. Do not fill in other skill names yourself.

This is an unofficial collection. Official text does not promise coverage of every WCAG clause, and it does not require search guidance and DevTools to be open at the same time.
