About Assist

Assist brings voice screen annotation, full-screen capture, and clipboard history together in the Mac notch, so your latest screenshots, annotations, transcriptions, and copied items are ready to reuse anytime. Hold Option to circle anywhere on screen while talking through your explanation; release to save an annotated screenshot, optionally with a local transcription for copying both together. Voice transcription runs locally via WhisperKit on Apple silicon; the raw audio stays in memory only during transcription and is never saved, only the transcribed text is kept. The app requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, and local voice transcription needs Apple silicon plus a one-time Whisper model download. The license is a one-time purchase at $20 / 1 Mac, with no subscription.
