bb
An open-source, local-first IDE that brings multiple AI agents together and supports one-sentence customization
About bb
bb is a free, open-source, local-first IDE that runs Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other AI agents in one interface. Choose an agent by task, or let one agent generate and manage another in a separate thread. Nearly every part can be changed with one sentence: ask for a task tracker and a sidebar panel plus a teaching skill appear with it; GitHub integration, agent memory, scheduled tasks, and remote access are implemented as plugins. Its CLI is open to external programs, so shell scripts, cron jobs, and chat bots can start work threads. bb uses the MIT license and can be forked and deployed across an organization; agents run on your existing provider subscription and are billed by the provider.
