ScreenCap
A local-first macOS screen memory tool that automatically labels and indexes team workflows for long-term searchability.
About ScreenCap
ScreenCap is a local-first screen memory tool for macOS. Press ⌘⇧R to start recording and narrate as you work; password managers and banking pages are removed before being written to the footage, while emails and chats are automatically redacted during recording. Its built-in on-device model divides recordings into labeled tasks, such as payroll processing and expense approval, and indexes every segment of voice and screen content so any workflow can still be found through search months later. Data is stored on your local disk by default until you choose to share it: you can export encrypted files, while the Personal cloud plan also provides encrypted backups across Macs and sharing of individual recording links. Requires macOS 14 or later and Apple silicon; release builds are notarized and reproducible, and you can also compile from source yourself.
