Second Brain
A free, open-source AI memory store running in your own Cloudflare account, sharing one memory across multiple tools.
About Second Brain
Second Brain is a free, open-source AI memory store: every tool you use reads from and writes to it, while data stays in your own Cloudflare account and cannot be read by the official team. Download the Mac or Windows desktop app; Cloudflare automatically creates a D1 database, Vectorize index, and Worker, with no manual configuration. Paste a single address into Claude Desktop, Claude Code, claude.ai, Cursor, Windsurf, and other tools to share the same memory. New memories are compared semantically with existing content; when conflicts appear, the newer item is flagged and used. The project is open source under the MIT license.
Best for
Best use cases
Share the same long-term memory across multiple AI tools such as Claude Desktop and Cursor
Turn everyday AI use into an accumulable long-term memory
Automatically identify semantic conflicts between new and old memories and use the newer one
Build a personal memory store in a Cloudflare account you control
Features
Unified memory
Every connected tool reads from and writes to the same memory store; data is kept in the user's own Cloudflare account, not the provider's servers.
Conflict detection
New memories are compared semantically with existing content; conflicts are flagged automatically and the newer item is used, without manual management.
Multi-tool connection
Paste one address into Claude Desktop, Claude Code, claude.ai, Cursor, Windsurf, and other tools to share the same memory.
Automatic provisioning
Mac and Windows desktop apps are provided; Cloudflare automatically creates a D1 database, Vectorize index, and Worker in the background, with no manual configuration.
Pros
- Free and open source (MIT license); you can fork, audit, and modify it yourself
- Data is stored in the user's own Cloudflare account; the official team cannot read it
- The desktop app completes setup automatically; no manual database or index configuration is needed
- Connect once to share the same memory across multiple AI tools
Cons
- Runs in the user's own Cloudflare account, requiring a Cloudflare account and depending on its D1, Vectorize, and Worker services
