About Selectric
Selectric is an AI-powered personal search app for finding information across email, documents, calendars, team chat, and cloud storage on macOS. It builds a personal index from data each user is permitted to access, while indexing and search remain on the local computer. Cloud AI models can generate summaries without storing the submitted data. After installing the app and connecting an account, users can open search from any application with Command-Shift-K. Supported services include Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Outlook, OneDrive, Microsoft Calendar, Slack, Teams, Dropbox, and Box. Selectric also demonstrates drafting email replies grounded in connected context. Initial indexing takes about 15 minutes for most accounts, and corporate account policies may require IT approval before a connection is authorized.
