About Snitch

Snitch joins a workspace through Slack OAuth, reads the member directory, and privately asks everyone who they report to. Members answer in two steps, and Snitch automatically draws the org chart. It asks again when relationships change; teams can also view profiles members fill out themselves, identify loops and former managers in the org structure, and let Snitch answer organizational questions in any channel. No HR system integration or manual entry of reporting relationships is required.

FAQ

It reads the member directory, members' answers to the bot, and their profiles, and only reads direct messages sent to it; the official explanation says it does not read channels, files, or other people's conversations.
Only members who sign in with Slack and belong to the workspace can view it. The official explanation says there are no public or secret-link org charts; forwarded links show a sign-in page.
