About Terminal Candy

Terminal Candy is a native macOS app for reskinning your terminal: pick a skin, define the terminal blocks, and give AI command-line sessions such as Claude Code a fresh look. Under the skin is a real shell, powered by SwiftTerm with a real PTY, full VT emulation, scrollback buffer, xterm mouse support, true color, and multiple sessions. The built-in Skin Builder turns any image into a terminal skin: remove the background with a magic wand, select the screen area, choose a color palette, and load it live without restarting or compiling. The global ⌥Space hotkey brings up the terminal over any app without accessibility permissions; press ⌘M anytime to return to a clean standard terminal while preserving sessions and scrollback. It supports macOS 14 (Sonoma) and later, with a universal binary for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. The first 14 days are a full free trial (up to 5 skin slots), followed by a one-time $10 purchase that unlocks unlimited skins and community membership.
