TestMyReading.com
A free online reading speed test that measures your WPM and comprehension accuracy in about 1 minute, and calculates your "effective reading speed."
About TestMyReading.com
TestMyReading.com offers a free online reading speed test: pick an article, read it at your normal pace, answer a few comprehension questions, and instantly get your WPM (words per minute) and accuracy score. The site emphasizes that raw speed is just a "vanity metric," so it calculates an "effective reading speed" — for example, if you read at 400 WPM but only comprehend 50% of the content, your effective speed is actually 200 WPM. The test requires no registration, subscription, or credit card, and there is no limit on how many times you can test, with a different article each time, making it easy to track your progress over days or weeks of practice. The site also provides a library of calibrated articles that you can browse and use for practice.
