Z Image Turbo is the 6-billion-parameter S3-DiT text-to-image model open-sourced by Tongyi-MAI, distilled into an 8-step pipeline, and this site offers its cloud-hosted version. On the managed GPU cluster, most images generate in 2–4 seconds; self-hosted, a mid-range GPU typically produces an image within 10 seconds, and 8GB of VRAM is enough with GGUF quantization. The model checkpoint supports bilingual Chinese and English prompts and works in the browser workspace, via REST API, or in ComfyUI. The official weights are open-sourced under the Apache license, and the site adds a credit system, prompt saving, and team folders on top. The hosted workspace starts with free credits, paid subscriptions grant more credits each month, and pay-as-you-go credits bought outright never expire.
