AskUI
Agentic test automation that executes plain-language steps across desktop, web, mobile, and embedded interfaces.
About AskUI
AskUI is an agentic test automation platform for workflows whose state is visible on the screen rather than exposed through DOM selectors. Teams describe tests in plain English or bring existing CSV and XLS test cases, then let a computer-use agent observe, act, and verify across desktop, web, mobile, and embedded HMI interfaces. The runtime supports Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and Companion Mode for screens that cannot be instrumented directly. Agents can be configured with versioned prompts, model routing, and controlled tool allowlists, while runs can be triggered from the app, CI, schedules, or integrations. Each run provides live step tracing, stored screenshots, cache telemetry, and HTML reports for review. AskUI also supports bring-your-own-model deployments, on-premise and air-gapped options, and is presented as ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant. A 14-day free trial is available; production AgentOS, distributed fleets, and custom infrastructure require a conversation with the company.
Best for
Best use cases
Convert plain-language, CSV, or XLS test cases into automated interface runs
Test legacy, canvas-based, POS, industrial, or hospital software without stable selectors
Trace distributed device runs with screenshots and HTML reports for review
Compare before choosing
Broader interface coverage than DOM-only automation for screen-driven workflows
Model routing and bring-your-own-model support reduce dependence on one model provider
Commercial production deployment requires sales scoping rather than transparent self-service pricing
Features
Cross-interface regression testing
Run plain-language regression tests across desktop, web, mobile, and embedded interfaces without relying on DOM selectors.
Legacy and hard-to-instrument systems
Automate workflows in POS, hospital, industrial, and HMI software where application APIs or stable object identifiers are unavailable.
CI and distributed device testing
Pair target devices, trigger runs through CI or integrations, and review traced steps, screenshots, and HTML reports.
Regulated deployment environments
Deploy on-premise or air-gapped when infrastructure control, access governance, and auditability are adoption requirements.
Pros
- Works across desktop, web, mobile, and embedded HMI interfaces instead of depending only on DOM access.
- Plain-language, CSV, and XLS test inputs can reduce the effort needed to rewrite existing manual test assets.
- On-premise and air-gapped options support teams with strict infrastructure and data-control requirements.
- Bring-your-own-model routing gives teams flexibility over model providers and credentials.
Cons
- The 14-day trial is time-limited, so continued production use requires a commercial arrangement.
- Commercial pricing is not self-service and requires contacting sales to scope AgentOS or fleet infrastructure.
- Computer-use agents still require device pairing, prompt and model configuration, and operational monitoring.
- Companion Mode for non-instrumented screens adds Raspberry Pi and HDMI capture infrastructure to the workflow.
