About Boords

Boords is an AI-assisted storyboard workspace for video agencies and brand teams. It turns imported scripts into storyboard frames and keeps generated images, camera angles, direction, dialogue, timing, and review context together. Editors can refine part of a frame without redrawing the rest, use visual references to maintain character and style continuity, and restyle or resize material for different outputs. Sharing, frame-level comments, versions, and client approval stay on the same board, reducing the need to circulate separate PDF decks. Boords Agent can import scripts, build frames, restyle images, and localise copy through requests made within the storyboard. Webhooks can report changes to projects, storyboards, frames, and comments to connected systems. The webhook and API functionality is currently in beta; webhook setup requires an Admin or Manager role, accepts HTTPS endpoints, and allows up to ten endpoints per team. Boords is free to start. Yearly paid options increase AI-image allowances and seat capacity, while higher tiers add team controls, priority support, and enterprise procurement features.

Best for

Video agencies that need storyboards and client approval in one workspace
Brand teams coordinating preproduction across several reviewers
Studios that need repeatable storyboards, exports, and controlled team access

Best use cases

Convert a script into frames with generated visuals and camera direction

Revise selected image areas while preserving the rest of an approved frame

Send storyboard changes into connected systems through beta webhooks

Compare before choosing

Combines storyboard creation and sign-off instead of handing work between an image tool and PDF review

Keeps generated frames, comments, versions, and approval inside the same board

Adds seat and AI-image limits by plan, so teams should match the tier to their workload

Features

Turn scripts into storyboards

Import a script, create frames, and add generated images and camera direction in one storyboard.

Keep characters and scenes consistent

Use references and targeted frame refinement to preserve approved visual details while changing selected areas.

Collect review and approval

Share boards, gather frame-level comments, manage versions, and keep client sign-off attached to the production work.

Pros

  • Script import, image generation, camera direction, review, and approval stay in one storyboard workflow.
  • Targeted regeneration can preserve approved parts of a frame and reduce unnecessary visual rework.
  • Free entry and graduated seat and AI-image allowances let teams begin before choosing a larger yearly plan.

Cons

  • The beta API and webhook details may change as the integration functionality is refined.
  • Webhook setup requires an Admin or Manager role, HTTPS URLs, and is limited to ten endpoints per team.
  • AI-image allowances and team sizes are capped by plan, so growing teams may need a higher-cost yearly tier.
