About Visus

Visus turns a collection of documents and connected knowledge sources into a configurable question-answering AI. Teams upload files, organize them in folders, and ask natural-language questions. Visus answers from material available to each user. The workflow has three stages: train the AI on documents, configure sensitivity and accuracy, then ask questions and follow-ups. It can also use content from Google Drive, Confluence, and Notion, while Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, and a Chrome extension bring access into existing workspaces. Permission changes are reflected in the answers users can receive. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and stored on servers using full-disk AES 256 encryption. The free tier supports one AI instance, 1,500 monthly messages, unlimited folders and files, and one member. Paid tiers expand AI instances, message allowances, team size, permissions, public instances, and enterprise controls. Visus fits teams that want document-grounded answers without building a retrieval interface themselves, though pricing scales per member and some controls require Business or Enterprise.

Best for

Knowledge teams that need searchable answers across documents without building a custom retrieval application.
Support and operations teams that want answers grounded in internal material and constrained by user permissions.
Organizations that already keep working knowledge in Google Drive, Confluence, Notion, or collaboration workspaces.

Best use cases

Upload a document library, tune sensitivity and accuracy, then ask follow-up questions in natural language.

Connect existing knowledge sources and make document-based answers available inside team collaboration channels.

Create a public AI instance on the Business tier for a knowledge experience that can be shared beyond one private workspace.

Compare before choosing

The free tier supports evaluation with one AI instance and 1,500 monthly messages, while Standard removes those instance and message limits.

Business adds roles, permissions, public AI instances, and a 100-member ceiling beyond the Standard feature set.

Enterprise adds custom fine-tuning, SAML single sign-on, and SOC 2 compliance with contact-sales pricing.

Features

Internal knowledge answers

Ask natural-language questions across uploaded documents, with responses limited by the user’s access permissions.

Customer inquiry support

Configure an AI around product or support material to retrieve information for customer questions.

Connected workspace search

Use Google Drive, Confluence, and Notion knowledge through collaboration tools and Chrome.

Pros

  • Answers are grounded in the team’s own documents, which keeps retrieval focused on selected knowledge.
  • Unlimited folders and files are included across the listed plans, reducing storage-based plan pressure.
  • Connections for major knowledge and collaboration tools let teams access the AI within existing workflows.

Cons

  • Standard and Business are priced per member, so costs rise directly as the participating team grows.
  • Roles, permissions, and public AI instances require the Business tier rather than Standard or Free.
  • Custom fine-tuning and SAML single sign-on require Enterprise and contact-sales pricing.
