npx skills add honojs/skills

Who this is for

If you intended to install Hono-related skills but opened https://github.com/yusukebe/hono-skill , start with the relocation fact: the page says that this repository has moved to https://github.com/honojs/skills . Your first attempt should install from the relocated repository rather than treating the old address as the installation source.

This is best suited to people who can already run npx and accept skill files being written to their current assistant environment. If you previously added this repository to a plugin marketplace, remove it first and then install the relocated skills; the page describes this step but does not provide a specific removal command.

Anyone who still wants to use the old repository address as a marketplace source should not install from the old address. The only supported fact here is that it has moved to honojs/skills; there is no framework tutorial, routing example, or startup command, so the first attempt should only install the skills at their new location.

Complete your first attempt in 3 minutes

Use only this official installation command:

npx skills add honojs/skills

This command fetches the skills from the relocated repository and writes them to the local machine. Before running it, confirm that the current terminal belongs to the assistant environment you are using and that you accept the write location; you are installing honojs/skills, not adding https://github.com/yusukebe/hono-skill again.

Prerequisite: npx must already run on the local machine. If you previously added this repository as a marketplace, remove it using the method provided by the client at that time. The page only says to remove it first and does not give a removal command, so do not invent a marketplace command.

The installation location is the assistant environment that runs npx. After the command succeeds, check the skill list or skill directory for skill files from honojs/skills. The success signal is that the assistant can load skills from the new location and the marketplace source no longer points to this old repository.

The page does not specify a post-installation Hello World, route list, or slash command to trigger. For the first attempt, stop once the skills have been installed from the relocated repository; do not add framework operations.

If npx fails, first confirm that the network can reach honojs/skills on GitHub, then retry the same command. Do not switch to another installer.

Use cases

Case one: perform a new installation from the relocated repository. The page gives npx skills add honojs/skills. Run it in a clean assistant environment, then confirm that the skills come from https://github.com/honojs/skills . The existing instructions stop at this installation command and do not describe how to use the skills internally; the case is complete once they are installed.

Case two: this repository was previously added as a marketplace. The page requires removing it first and then using the new address. In the current client, first remove the old marketplace entry pointing to https://github.com/yusukebe/hono-skill , then run the same npx skills add honojs/skills. The existing instructions do not give a removal command or confirmation text; it is enough to confirm that the old source is no longer listed and the new skills can load.

Both cases stop at installation and relocation; do not extend them to writing a Hono application.

Boundaries of use

This repository has moved to https://github.com/honojs/skills . For the first attempt, run only npx skills add honojs/skills. If you previously added this repository as a marketplace, remove it before installing; the page does not provide a removal command. The page does not describe skill triggers, routing, or deployment steps, so do not include them in the first attempt.
