npx skills add superdesigndev/superdesign-skillWho It's For
If you have already been changing frontend code in a coding agent but keep getting a familiar default interface, this skill may be a good fit. The official description calls it an AI product design agent: it adds real design judgment to coding agents, so the interfaces they deliver look deliberately considered rather than templated.
It names Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and more than seventy other coding agents. See the full supported list at
https://github.com/vercel-labs/skills#supported-agents
This means that any coding agent can install it; it is not a mutually exclusive list. After one installation, the agent can find a design direction and generate and iterate on interfaces, presentations, and graphics on an infinite canvas without leaving the terminal.
It is best suited to people whose machines can already run npx and npm and who are willing to review the design direction before deciding whether to change project files. The official description is at

First Try in 3 Minutes
The skill has only one official installation path:
npx skills add superdesigndev/superdesign-skill
The official instructions also say that regardless of how you install the skill, you must install the CLI it drives and log in:
npm install -g @superdesign/cli@latest superdesign login
The CLI and login are prerequisites, not a second skill installer. login opens an authorization flow; make sure the window comes from superdesign before continuing.
For the first task, choose a redesign you can discuss and undo; do not overwrite a production interface directly. Say this in the agent:
/superdesign help me redesign this settings page so it doesn't look like default AI slop
First ask it for a design direction or canvas draft for the settings page. After you confirm the visual design and structure, allow it to write to frontend files. A successful sign is that /superdesign is picked up and the canvas or reply contains specific changes for the settings page, rather than saying the skill is not installed, the CLI is missing, or you are not logged in.
Use Cases
Case one: Redesign the settings page first, then decide whether to write it to files.
The official usage is phrased as talking directly to the agent and includes this /superdesign settings-page redesign example. For the first attempt, stop at the direction and canvas draft. The page does not specify which fields the settings page contains or which component library must be used; what can be confirmed is that this prompt can trigger the skill and that the goal is to make the page stop looking like a default templated interface.
Case two: Generate and iterate on an interface, presentation, or graphic on an infinite canvas.
The official description says that after one installation, the agent can find a design direction and generate and iterate on high-quality interfaces, presentations, and graphics on an infinite canvas without leaving the terminal. For the first attempt, generate one canvas draft and iterate once or twice. The page does not specify canvas shortcuts, export formats, or the number of presentation slides; the only confirmed scope is these three types of output.
Both cases rely on the same npx skill command and the CLI login that must be completed first.
Boundaries of Use
The only skill installation command is npx skills add superdesigndev/superdesign-skill. You must also install @superdesign/cli globally and run superdesign login. The page does not provide a way to skip authorization when you are not logged in.
The named environments are Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and more than seventy other coding agents; the full list points to
https://github.com/vercel-labs/skills#supported-agents
Do not infer from this that only these three work, and do not invent installation commands for products outside the list.
The page does not state a free quota, model choice, or required frontend framework. You need to confirm before writing the design into the repository because doing so changes files.
