TypeSafe Agent Skill: Let Agents Design Typed Decision Workflows and Find Official Documentation

Best suited for letting an agent design typed decision workflows with human oversight and find the latest official documentation while building with TypeSafe; before use, install the plugin in Claude Code via the plugin marketplace.

Install

claude plugin marketplace add typesafe-ai/skills && claude plugin install typesafe@typesafe-ai

Who It's For

This Skill is for users already building applications with TypeSafe (typesafe.ai) who want an agent to help with three kinds of tasks:

  • Designing TypeSafe workflows (the official example: having the agent route support tickets by department and arrange human oversight for uncertain decisions).
  • Finding TypeSafe's current official documentation and cookbooks.
  • Composing typed judgments in code.

The evidence doesn't directly state which scenarios it is not suited for, but it's clear that it targets development work with the TypeSafe/System One APIs, not general-purpose coding assistance. If you don't yet have a TypeSafe account or API access, the official documentation does not confirm whether the Skill works without credentials — this remains unknown.

First Attempt in 3 Minutes

The recommended main path is the Claude Code plugin route, which is also the first installation method in the repository README:

Prerequisite: Claude Code is installed on your machine. After installation, run the following in your terminal:

claude plugin marketplace add typesafe-ai/skills
claude plugin install typesafe@typesafe-ai

Then in Claude Code, you can explicitly invoke the plugin Skill with /typesafe:typesafe-ai.

For your first attempt, choose a low-risk analytical task, e.g., ask the agent: "Help me design a TypeSafe workflow that routes support tickets by department and adds human oversight for uncertain decisions." This is the example usage given in the official README. The success signal is the agent producing a TypeSafe workflow design (with typed decision descriptions), or providing current links to the official documentation/cookbooks.

If you don't use Claude Code, the official alternative path is via skills.sh:

npx skills add typesafe-ai/skills --skill typesafe-ai

During execution you will be prompted to select an agent; by default it installs locally to the project, and adding -g installs globally. This is only a secondary path and should not be treated as equivalent to the main path.

Regarding risk boundaries of the first attempt: the README does not state whether the Skill reads or writes files, executes commands, or accesses the network when performing design or documentation-lookup tasks; an explicit invocation like /typesafe:typesafe-ai only indicates it is a diagnostic/design-type operation — it does not mean zero risk, and none of these behaviors have been officially confirmed.

Use Cases

Case 1: Designing a routing workflow. Scenario: your support team wants an agent to draft a TypeSafe-based ticket dispatch plan. Send the task to the installed Skill in Claude Code: "Design a TypeSafe workflow: route tickets automatically by department, escalate to a human when confidence is insufficient." It will use the Skill's core capability — designing TypeSafe workflows and composing typed judgments — to produce a workflow description with a human-oversight step. This is an example task explicitly given in the official README, so you can expect to receive the workflow design directly.

Case 2: Getting current documentation. Scenario: while implementing, you're unsure about the latest usage of some System One API. Ask the agent: "Find the sections of TypeSafe's current documentation and cookbooks that cover XX." It will perform the officially stated capability of "finding current documentation and cookbooks." What can be confirmed is that it will return documentation/cookbook references; as for how it retrieves them, whether it goes online, or whether it can read local documentation directly, the official sources are silent — this remains unknown.

Boundaries of Use

  • Installation differs by platform: Claude Code uses the plugin marketplace (claude plugin marketplace add + claude plugin install); other agents install via npx skills add, local to the project by default and global with -g. Do not mix the two methods or infer one from the other.
  • Side effects and confirmation points: the installation commands themselves modify your Claude Code plugin configuration or project directory; whether the Skill writes files, executes commands, or calls external services at runtime (including the TypeSafe API itself) is not stated officially and remains unknown.
  • Runtime prerequisites: the main path requires Claude Code; the npx skills add path requires a Node/npx environment and will prompt you to select an agent. The official sources do not list which agents the Skill supports, nor do they state any restrictions on text or programming language scope.
  • Key unconfirmed information: whether a TypeSafe API key or account is required to use it, whether first use requires additional configuration, and which runtime versions are supported. Before using it, run a read-only design/documentation-lookup task to verify availability.
