About AgentGit

AgentGit is used to save, share, and continue AI coding agent sessions. Installation is done by running npx -y create-agit in the terminal, or you can have the agent perform the installation itself. Saved sessions can be shared via read-only links, so others can browse how you solved a problem and even continue the session from there. Runtimes that support native resume include Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes, and WorkBuddy; Cursor sessions can only be imported in read-only mode.

Best for

Developers using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode
Anyone who wants to share an agent session's problem-solving process with their team or community
People who want to see how others solved similar problems with agents

Best use cases

Save a complete agent session from a debugging or implementation task to continue later

Share a session with colleagues or the community via a read-only link as code review material

Browse other people's agent sessions to learn how they solved problems

Import sessions in read-only mode in tools like Cursor

Features

One-click terminal installation

Install and set up the agent in your terminal with npx -y create-agit, or let the agent handle the installation itself.

Session sharing

After saving an agent session, you can generate a read-only link to share it; read-only links do not grant write access.

Session continuation

Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes, and WorkBuddy support natively continuing sessions.

Pros

  • Supports native session resume across multiple mainstream agent runtimes
  • Offers read-only link sharing that does not grant write access
  • Explains possible information loss before cross-runtime conversion

Cons

  • Cross-runtime handoffs may lose information; the official documentation states that agit will explain the losses before conversion
  • Sensitive information such as secrets may appear in prompts, tool calls, and command output, so you need to review and remove it yourself before publishing or sharing
