About APIKO

APIKO is an aggregated AI API service: users call text, image, and video models through a single OpenAI-compatible interface, and can compare models by price and availability before making a call. Billing is based on actual usage — text requests are billed by token usage, while image and video requests are billed at each model's listed price; when an upstream call fails, the pre-frozen credit is automatically refunded. The account uses a unified balance top-up model, with top-up packages from $5 to $2000, and the balance never expires. The image API supports text-to-image generation and reference-image editing, and can be called synchronously or asynchronously (a task id is returned for polling); asynchronous result links are signed by APIKO and are only kept for 24 hours, so download and save them promptly. Account operations are handled in the console, including viewing balance and usage, creating and rotating API keys, and exporting request logs.

Best for

Developers who need to switch between or compare prices across multiple AI models
Teams already using toolchains such as the OpenAI SDK, LangChain, or LlamaIndex
App developers who need unified access to text, image, and video generation

Best use cases

Compare models by price and availability before making calls

Unify text, image, and video generation behind a single API

Switch an existing project based on the OpenAI SDK to new models by simply changing the base URL

Use an asynchronous submit-and-poll workflow for image and video generation tasks

Features

Unified OpenAI-compatible endpoint

Call text, image, and video models through the same OpenAI-compatible interface, and compare models by price and availability before making a call.

SDK compatibility

Any method compatible with the OpenAI API works, including the official SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or plain HTTP — just point the base URL to APIKO.

Image generation and editing

Supports text-to-image generation (/v1/images/generations) and reference-image editing (/v1/images/edits, up to 16 reference images; file uploads, base64, and data URLs are not accepted, and masks are not supported).

Synchronous and asynchronous calls

Image requests can be sent with "async": true to immediately receive a task id, then poll GET /v1/tasks/{id} every 5–10 seconds until completion or failure.

Unified balance, never expires

All models share a single account balance, and the balance never expires; when an upstream call fails, the pre-frozen credit is automatically refunded.

Console and usage management

The console lets you view balance, spending, and recent activity, create, revoke, and rotate API keys (plaintext is shown only once), view request logs, and export the current view.

Pros

  • Call text, image, and video models through a single OpenAI-compatible endpoint, with no separate integrations needed
  • Compatible with existing tools like the OpenAI SDK, LangChain, and LlamaIndex — just change the base URL
  • The balance never expires, and pre-frozen credit is automatically refunded for failed calls
  • Supports both synchronous and asynchronous calls, and lets you compare models by price
