CADdillo
An AI-powered CAD tool that runs in the browser: generate floor plans from a text description, with manual drawing free forever and AI drawing billed pay-as-you-go by credits.
About CADdillo
CADdillo is a CAD tool that runs in the browser: after signing up, the editor is free forever, and manual drawing and editing consume no credits. It includes an AI assistant, Dillo Bot: you describe a building in words, it asks a few questions, and then generates a real floor plan—walls, doors, windows, plumbing fixtures, and dimensions all placed on named layers, editable directly in the browser, and exportable as DWG, DXF, or PDF. Beyond building floor plans, it can also create parking lot layouts, generating editable CAD entities with dimensions, such as parking spaces, drive aisles, ADA-accessible spaces and their access aisles, accessible routes, signage locations, wheel stops, and striping. AI drawing is billed by credits: signing up comes with 50 free credits (roughly two AI drawings), and once used up you can buy one-time credit packs as needed—no subscription, no auto-renewal, and credits never expire. Please note: currently DXF files can be opened natively in the browser; DWG import requires conversion to DXF via the free converter first, and the free version includes 3 DWG exports; native DWG reading in the browser is on the roadmap.

Pros
- After signing up, the editor is free forever; manual drawing, editing, and exporting consume no credits
- AI can generate real floor plans and parking lot layouts from a text description, with entities on named layers and dimensions included
- No installation required—runs in any browser (desktop, tablet, phone); the free viewer needs no account
- AI credits are purchased one-time with no subscription or auto-renewal and never expire; with the $50 credit pack, an AI drawing costs as little as $1
Cons
- Native DWG reading in the browser is not yet supported; DWG files must first be converted to DXF using the free converter (the vendor says native reading is on the roadmap).
- The free version includes only 3 DWG exports.
- It is only a drawing tool: code determinations such as the number of accessible parking spaces required by law, slope compliance, or additional local requirements still need to be verified by you; the vendor states it does not make such judgments for you.
