About Claude Overlay
Claude Overlay is a borderless, always-on-top floating chat window that can overlay other work content and read the real screens on all displays to answer questions. It uses the user's existing claude CLI login, requires no API key, and incurs no additional metered charges; full Claude Code can edit files, run commands, and operate apps on the screen. The project currently runs only on Windows, and the default permission mode also allows the agent to edit files in the working directory and run commands without asking.
