Good Tape is an automated transcription service built for people who work closely with recorded interviews, meetings, research sessions, and other audio or video. It supports more than 100 languages, links transcript text to audio playback, labels speakers, and provides AI summaries, search, projects, notes, subtitle exports, and team collaboration. Journalists can check a quote by jumping from a word in the transcript to the matching moment in the recording, while teams can organize and share work without moving files between unrelated tools. A recorder app for iOS and Android adds real-time monitoring, auto-save, and desktop sync, and an API can place transcription inside newsroom, research, or product workflows. Good Tape documents its security controls in detail: files use AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit, processing takes place on EU servers, the service is GDPR compliant and ISO 27001 certified, and Good Tape says customer files are not used for model training. The Free tier is useful for a small test but includes only three transcriptions. Pro raises capacity to 20 hours and adds workflow features; Business allocates 20 hours per seat and adds centralized administration, SSO, an SLA, and broader compliance controls.
